After concluding the 2017 football season, the new Jaguars want to help show once again that Rock Canyon can be a powerhouse in the Continental League. The Jags finished 5-5 last season, with victories against schools such as Denver East and Arapahoe. However, the team fell to rivals Mountain Vista and Thunder Ridge.

“The losses to Vista and Thunder ridge stung a little bit,” Cole Lynch ‘19 said.  “I can’t wait to play them next season.”

To improve on a season with a new coaching staff, players now have strength and speed workouts every day after school.

“Last year it was only 3 days a week until summer,” Brandon Dodd ‘19 said. “ I can see that it is helping this team so much more.  We are all getting stronger and faster.”

Rock Canyon Football looks to improve from their season last year and reach their goal of making the playoffs.
