Indigo Peaks, a rock band soon to release an album, was formed by sophomores Nick Janney, Alex Smith, Caleb Jaramillo and Devin Kennedy.

These students have been recording music in Janney’s basement, are now working on their new album, “Falling Rock.”

“It started in english class because we were bored” Janney, the lead singer and guitarist, said.

The group uses their own instruments to create their music and record it on their own.

“I sing and play the drums , [Caleb] plays the guitar, Alex plays the guitar, Devin plays bass, sometimes keyboard,” Janney said.

When the album is complete, Indigo Peaks plan to “make CD’s, put it on iTunes, start gigging, all the things you with a rock band,” Janney said.
