Homecoming?

“I liked them first!”

by Maja Hall, Reporter

Tis the season for posters full of puns, people walking the halls with flowers plus teddy bears in hand, and Instagrams of cute couples smiling ear to ear. In case you don’t get the point, it’s the time to ask a lucky guy or gal to homecoming! With this year’s homecoming theme of Dr.Seuss, it’s bound that you’ll find your “who in whoville” to dance the night away. Now, the nerves might kick in which, yes, is normal, but when you ask that lucky person, it’ll all be worth it.

Now… How the heck do you ask someone? You can write a big poster, draw on their car, decorate their garage in lights, buy them food (the way to anyones heart), or really anything that’ll put a smile on their face. You can make it PUNny, cute, romantic, cheesy, full of love or jokes, no matter what anyone will appreciate the effort. Need some ideas?…

  • Homecoming would be SUPER, I just need a MAN?
  • On a scale of one to America, how free are you for homecoming?
  • Roses are red, tiaras are stunning, be my princesses at this year’s homecoming?

I took a poll on twitter as well as walking around the school and out of 100 students, 27% voted for Romantic while the other 73% voted for cheesy. Most girls said Romantic while most guys said cheesy; don’t worry ladies some of them said romantic, so we’ll either see some punny posters or chocolates and roses in one’s hands. Goodluck Jags.

Have fun at homecoming!

"Yes I'm super excited! It's senior year which means it'll be the best year yet and it's the second time getting to with my boyfriend!"
Hannah Bauer ’17 and Griffin Cahey ’18 enjoyed a nice dinner on their one year anniversary when he decided to ask her for homecoming round 2.
