Varsity hockey forward Maxwell Menzies ’24 celebrates after forward Grant Siroky ’24 scored the second goal during the second period of the game Dec. 9. The varsity team played against Resurrection Christian at 6:00 p.m. at South Suburban Sports Center. The game ended with a score of 5-1 W. “Before the game, the boys are always locked in and dialed,” defensemen Easton Stockert ’25 said. “During the game, we’re focused one shift at a time, and supporting each other because when we’re supporting each other and just having fun, that’s when we play our best.”

The three seniors on the team were given flowers, painted rocks and speeches from the younger players. It wasn’t great that we lost the game, but I had a fun time and loved the speeches. I’m sad to leave the team because I love the players and the coaches, Hay said. I am done playing at a high level but hope to join a club team in college.
