The Jaguars take on the Mountain Vista Eagles at Douglas County Stadium.

The Jaguars took on the Mountain Vista Eagles at Douglas County Stadium after Echo Park Stadium, the Jags’ home field, was booked for the Friday night game Oct. 6. The theme of the game was “Pink Out” to show support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Last season, the Jaguars lost to the Eagles after a hail mary in the last 10 seconds of the game, ending the game with a Jaguar loss 40-36.

In the first quarter of this year’s game, the Jaguars intercepted an Eagles ball right near the endzone. The Jaguars went on to score their first touchdown of the game.

Going into halftime, the Jaguars were losing 37-14 to the Eagles.

During halftime, Cheer and Poms performed with 100 Junior Jags. The Marching Band performed their show, “Breathe into Life,” as well.

The student section disappeared as many students left. According to “Timeanddate.com”, the temperature was a high of 45 degrees and a low of 39 degrees at 6 p.m. The Golden Boys left the student section before the game ended, leaving only a dozen students left on the Jaguar side.

After halftime, the game resumed around 8:45 p.m. Over the last half of the game, multiple penalties and injuries occurred, causing the game to stop for long periods of time. The game ended around 9:30 p.m. after two scoreless periods. The Jaguars ended the game with a loss to the Eagles for another year in a row, 37-14.

The Jags now have a win/loss record of 5-2.

For their next game, the Jags take on Valor Christian Eagles at Valor Christian High School Stadium tonight, Oct. 13, at 7:00 p.m., after a 28-13 loss against the Eagles last year. Fans are asked to wear preppy clothes for the student section theme, according to the @rcgoldenboys Instagram.
