Aahana Nandy ‘23 shows off her tattoo on the outside of her thigh. The tattoo says “inner peace” in the language Bengali, and the rest of her family has the same tattoo in different places. “All of us are a little chaotic so it means that even though we’re all chaotic and sometimes argue we still have inner peace within ourselves. It is meaningful because it is with my family and I wouldn’t want my first tattoo to be for anything else,” Nandy said.

Reagan Synk 23 places a box for the Creativity Drive outside of room 4113 Nov. 18. Synk worked with Morgan Tempel 23, Zella Schnitzspahn ‘23 and Trey Spuhler ‘23 to collaborate with Urban Peak to give to the homeless. “So many people donate the needs, but nobody thinks about the wants. A lot of these kids are just trying to survive and we want to make them feel like they’re more than just surviving, that they can enjoy life,” Synk said.
Crafting a Better Future
Jazzy Lorenz 23 prepares her camera to film a new episode for the Cmon Now podcast Oct 18. Lorenz was getting her set up ready for an episode named Used Squared on the topic of unloyal friends. Setting up normally takes us about 15 minutes, but occasionally something will happen and well either have to wait for the camera to charge or well have to spend forever adjusting the lighting on the camera, Lorenz said.
C’mon Now, Just Tune In
Security Guard JT Adams stands by the stairs by the security desk. Adams started working in schools because he enjoyed helping students. “I just like being in a good environment,” Adams said. “I’ve always wanted to work with kids and help kids so that’s why I’m here.”

Stella Catalano ‘24 and Oliver Conard ‘24, the mother and father of Jesse (played by Katelyn Falcon ‘24) in “Distracted,” talk to each other about if their child could have Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in their final dress rehearsal Nov. 2. Catalano’s character believes that Jesse could have one of these disorders while Conard’s character believes that their son is just being a kid which causes them to argue about the different ways in which they should approach the issue with their child. “Theater has given me a place where I can be myself and express my emotions in creative ways,” Conard said.
