As the starting lineup is announced, varsity goalies Brenna Schofelder ‘25 and Jasper Lorenz ‘23 jump to high-five each other before playing against the Castle View Sabercats March 28. Schofelder played for the first half of the game, then switched out with Lorenz to give both goaltenders equal playing time. “The goalkeeping position is like an individual sport within a team sport. I'm part of the team, but I’m not in the field of play, which allows me to kind of take a distance approach during the game,” Lorenz said. “I'm constantly the communicator in the back, constantly being a supporter or giving my team directions which I think helps the team overall, and keeping the game calm.”
