Boys Volleyball

Rock Canyon followed the lead of numerous other Douglas County High Schools and introduced the first ever Boys Volleyball team to the athletics department. Arranged by Kyler Barker, a teacher and coach of girls volleyball, the new program began in Spring of 2017.

Though it took time and varying approaches (including recruitment and informational meetings), enough students chose to be involved that both a Varsity and JV team were organized. During a season lasting from February until May, the Varsity team has competed and continues to do so in the 5A division, while JV competes in 3A. With more participation than many schools in the district, the boys volleyball program looks like it will become an ongoing aspect of Rock Canyon Athletics.
