Varsity Girls Soccer Defeats Heritage
The Varsity girls soccer team took on Heritage High School’s girl team at Littleton Public Stadium May 4 for one of their last games of the season. After having to reschedule their game from April 4, the girls finally kicked off at 5:30 and played until the sun began to set around 7:30. Rock Canyon took the victory over Heritage 1-0 in the second half and finished their second to last game of the season with a win. Their last game is tomorrow before they move on to the playoffs and compete one last time at the end of the year.

According to Keep America Beautiful, the majority of the trash found on both roads and waterways consists of fast food wrappers and packaging, receipts and plastic beverage bottles. Clubs like the National Honor Society (NHS) offer students the opportunity to earn service hours by cleaning up the trash in the parking lots. “[The trash] makes us look very unhygienic and unmotivated to be a proper school,” Emberlyse Vidal ‘28 said. “It makes us look like we just don't care about our students' environments.”](https://rockmediaonline.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/20260220_1355020-2-1200x904.jpg)
