According to Keep America Beautiful, the majority of the trash found on both roads and waterways consists of fast food wrappers and packaging, receipts and plastic beverage bottles. Ella Heimer ‘25 draws the lead singer of the band Gorillaz, 2-D, in her free time. Heimer found inspiration for her work from listening to music.
Currently, Heimer is writing a column on the inspiration behind the creation of art.
“There are so many different reasons behind making art and I want to uncover the deeper meaning behind it,” Heimer said. “When you make art, you put a piece of yourself out there and I’m interested in learning about what that is.”
