According to Keep America Beautiful, the majority of the trash found on both roads and waterways consists of fast food wrappers and packaging, receipts and plastic beverage bottles. Happy Crew, a club promoting mental health awareness, suicide prevention and the destigmatization of mental health is once again sponsoring the Battle of the Bands. The club has sponsored Battle of the Bands, a competition for student-led bands to play in for the chance at a recording studio session, since 2006. Both middle school and high school student-led bands are able to compete.
It is on Nov. 20 with a $15 entry at the Skylark Lounge, 140 S Broadway, Denver, CO 80209, with entry to all ages.
