Teachers want to have snow days and delays as much as students.
“When the snow starts coming, us teachers start hoping for a snow day or delayed start just as much as students do. We understand the logistics of it all behind the scene and why they are not an easy call, but there is nothing like curling up inside while its a freezing winter wonderland outside,” science teacher, Kailyn Koslosky, said. “Besides activities in the snow, I think it is one of a Coloradan’s greatest simple joys to appreciate the cold weather from within on those special days where the snow forces us all to pause our busy lifestyles and just simply be for a day.”
Some students find it angering that we didn’t have at least a delay.
“I think it’s ridiculous that we didn’t have even a delayed start yesterday it was far too cold for us to be at school that early and we should have had time to let the day get warmer,” Lexi Brabec ‘19 said.

According to Keep America Beautiful, the majority of the trash found on both roads and waterways consists of fast food wrappers and packaging, receipts and plastic beverage bottles. Clubs like the National Honor Society (NHS) offer students the opportunity to earn service hours by cleaning up the trash in the parking lots. “[The trash] makes us look very unhygienic and unmotivated to be a proper school,” Emberlyse Vidal ‘28 said. “It makes us look like we just don't care about our students' environments.”](https://rockmediaonline.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/20260220_1355020-2-1200x904.jpg)
