Student Council spent their Thursday night decorating the school with pinks and purples and glitter for Wish Week 2018, March 1.
“[The hardest part of decorating] is making sure everyone is on the same page and working together because there is so much involved,” Rachael Merrill ‘18 said.
Student Council spends around five hours decorating the night before Wish Week starts. Planning for Wish week starts for them right after Homecoming.
“I am most excited for everyone to meet our Wish Family this year,” Jamie Tatum ‘18 said, “They’re really special.”
Wish Week 2018 starts Friday, March 2 and ends on Friday, March 9. The event schedule is posted on @RCRockMedia on Twitter.

According to Keep America Beautiful, the majority of the trash found on both roads and waterways consists of fast food wrappers and packaging, receipts and plastic beverage bottles. Clubs like the National Honor Society (NHS) offer students the opportunity to earn service hours by cleaning up the trash in the parking lots. “[The trash] makes us look very unhygienic and unmotivated to be a proper school,” Emberlyse Vidal ‘28 said. “It makes us look like we just don't care about our students' environments.”](https://rockmediaonline.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/20260220_1355020-2-1200x904.jpg)
