With National Collegiate Athletic Association’s (NCAA) Final Four matches set, students around the school have varying opinions on March Madness.
The Final Four women’s teams were North Carolina State University against the University of South Carolina (USC) April 5 at 5 p.m., which ended with a score of 78-59 W for the USC. Following that, the University of Connecticut played against the University of Iowa April 5 at 7 p.m., which ended in a score of 71-69 W for the University of Iowa.
For the men’s bracket, Northern Carolina State played against Purdue University April 6 at 4:10 p.m., finishing with a score of 63-50 W for Purdue University. Next, the University of Alabama played against the University of Connecticut (UConn) April 6 at 6:50 p.m which ended in a score of 86-72 W for UConn.
USC faced Iowa today, April 7 at 1 p.m. in a win for the gamecocks USC 87-75. UConn will face Purdue University tomorrow at 7:20 p.m. April 8.
Reporters Spencer Rathbun ’24, Will Rosenmeyer ’24 and Preston Duman ’26 interviewed students about their brackets, what their expectations for the games had been and what teams they have set winning April 2.
