Feeds all over the world were flooded with images of singer-songwriter Taylor Swift watching the Chicago Bears versus the Kansas City Chiefs football game at Arrowhead Stadium Sept. 24, 2023.
The world was caught off guard when seeing not just the singer at the game, but where she was seated. Swift was spotted in Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce’s private suite. After this, more photos of the pair surfaced all over the media.
The first talk of the two aired July 26 from the Kelce brother’s podcast, “New Heights.” Hosted by Kelce and his brother, Jason Kelce, Travis talked to his brother about how the Eras Tour concert was. He put Swift on blast by saying he couldn’t give her the bracelet he made for her, which had his number on it. When asked if it was his football number or cell phone number, Travis responded with, “You know which one,” on their podcast.
“[Kelce is] amazing. I think he’s great for Taylor, and it’s different from every other guy she’s been with…first of all, he’s American. And he’s a football player, and he’s great in his own league, and he has nothing to do with the entertainment industry. So, I think it’s really great. I love them. I think it’s perfect,” Anoushka Nipunge ’25 said.
It was radio silent for the following month, but we were shocked the couple was seen out and about in New York City and Swift was spotted attending Chiefs games and group hangouts with Kelce’s teammates, such as Patrick Mahomes and his wife Brittany Mahomes. The pair even made surprise appearances on Saturday Night Live (SNL) Oct. 14.
Kelce and Swift stepped back into the spotlight once again Nov. 11 at Swift’s Eras Tour in Argentina. Kelce was in attendance with Swift’s father, Scott Swift. During her performance of her song “Karma,” Swift changed a song lyric to direct at Kelce, singing “Karma is a guy on the Chiefs, coming straight home to me.”
“When I heard it come out of her mouth, it still shocked me,” Travis said to his brother on their podcast.
After her performance, two shared a kiss backstage. Many fans were ecstatic after.
“It made everybody happy,” Chloe Bishop ‘24 said.
The Swift family also celebrated their Christmas at the Chiefs game against the Las Vegas Raiders. Swift was also seen sporting a Chief’s Christmas hat with Kelce’s number, 87, on it.
The next year, Swift and Kelce were seen picking up bottles together on New Year’s Day after bringing in the new year with their friends and family. Many were in attendance, including the star tight end’s mom, Donna “Mama” Kelce.
On Jan. 28, the Chiefs won the American Football Conference championship. Swift and Kelce were seen being very affectionate after the game, sharing many hugs and kisses while cameras swarmed them. Swift was panned to many times during the game, raising questions about the amount of attention she received at these games. Some fans thinking she’s broadcasted too much.
“It’s just her representing Travis and being there for him, so I think it is alright. They just shouldn’t show her as much,” Jake Lenertz ‘25 said.
The Chiefs brought home their second Super Bowl win in a row on Sunday, Feb. 11 by a last-minute touchdown in overtime. This made them the first team since the Patriots to win two in a row. After the victory, the couple were seen celebrating all night.
Overall, I think the couple is thriving. They have decided to put the media’s opinions aside and focus on each other. They were most recently spotted vacationing together in the Caribbean. Soon after that, Swift and Kelce spent Easter with Kelce’s older brother and his family.
“The only thing we’ve talked about is that as long as we’re happy we can’t listen to anything that’s outside noise,” Kelce said at the Chief’s press conference, according to Rolling Stone.

![Minutes before the Activities Fair in the gym, president Abhi Gowda ‘26 prepares the stall for his club Helping Hands, Sept. 4. A relatively new club, Helping Hands was co-started by Gowda and focuses on assisting the homeless, and just last year they succeeded in raising a couple hundred donations to send to shelters. This year, they have goals to expand, with hopes to increase volunteer opportunities and take in-person trips to shelters, as well as extend their help beyond just homeless people. “The Activities Fair gives a lot of underclassmen the opportunity to really get to know the Canyon culture, and it gives them many opportunities for service and volunteering,” Gowda said. “[Through the Activities Fair,] I hope to find a bunch of new and passionate members about our club and just get our name out there and spread awareness to the cause that we’re fighting for.”](https://rockmediaonline.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/1-2-1200x885.jpg)

![The winter guard team makes fifth place at the state championship finals in the Denver Coliseum, March 30. The team performed to Barnes Country's “Glitter and Gold,” lead by coaches Margo Sanford, Blair Bickerton and Anna Orgren. In their class there were a total of nine groups participating, and the top five who made it to finals received a plaque. “[Walking onto the stage] is very nerve-wracking, but also very exciting as well. When you first start color guard there's a lot of anxiety and uncertainty when you first perform in front of an audience, but once you've done it for a while, it starts to become the best part of the season,” Ella West ‘25 said. “It's very fulfilling to see an audience react to something you've put your heart and soul into.”](https://rockmediaonline.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Both-socal-media-nd-website-main-1-1200x846.jpg)

![April marks the 25th anniversary of Sexual Assault Awareness Month, created by the National Sexual Violence Resource Center (NSVRC). This month is to spread awareness of the harassment, assault and abuse that happens around the world. The symbol that represented the month was a teal ribbon; however, some survivors of assault create different symbols and movements like the TikTok trend in 2022, where survivors would tattoo Medusa on their body, in honor of her backstory in Greek Mythology. “I don't think [this month is known] at all. I rarely see anybody talk about it. I rarely see much of an emphasis on posting it online, or much discussion about it, and I feel like there needs to be way more discussion,” an anonymous source said. “I think just validating every experience that a person has gone through, regardless of the degree of it, the severity, is an essential step into making sure that people are aware that this is a very real problem in a society and that we need to do better in addressing it.”](https://rockmediaonline.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/IMG_0011-1200x900.jpg)

![Lesbian Visibility Day is April 26, and it’s a holiday to celebrate the lesbian community of the world. Lesbian Visibility day was established in 2008 by many queer activists and organizations who sought to raise more awareness for lesbian history and culture. “So this is why during Lesbian Visibility [Day] we celebrate and center all lesbians, both cis and trans, while also showing solidarity with all LGBTQ+ women and nonbinary people,” Linda Reily, in an article written by her, said.](https://rockmediaonline.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Lesbian-Visibility-day.jpeg)
