As vibrant blooms begin the sun shines bright and a gentle breeze pass by. This means Spring is just around the corner, and warmer temperatures are on the way.
Douglas County has been experiencing warm days recently, with temperatures ranging from low 50 degrees to high 60 degrees.
The temperatures and weather have drastically changed recently, including a mix of snow and warmth.
According to CBS News, Colorado citizens experienced low temperatures in late February and a couple of snowstorms with an average of seven inches in Highlands Ranch, making February the fourth snowiest month in Denver.
“Personally, I enjoy spring and summer more than winter because I enjoy getting tan by the pool better than skiing,” Sienna Russo ‘27 said.
Based on AccuWeather’s monthly weather maps, April in Highlands Ranch brings loads of sunshine and less snow. Expect more rain storms, including 11 days of precipitation with an average high temperature of 61 degrees, and an average low temperature of 34 degrees.
“I’m extremely excited for spring to come because of the warmer weather and activities that come along with the warm weather,” Taylor Wilson ‘27 said.
Remember to stock up on sunscreen as the UV index and temperatures increase for the next couple of months as Colorado enters Spring.
