March 27 marks the start of the 2026 season at Red Rocks Amphitheater, one of Colorado’s most iconic live music venues. Known for its natural rock formations and open-air setting, Reds Rocks draws thousands of fans each year as the concert seasons begin in the spring and end mid-November.
Kicking off this season on Friday, March 27, is (Electronic Dance Music) EDM artist Crankdat, who will take the stage at 7:00 p.m. EDM concerts grew in popularity in the Denver area in the late 2010s as Red Rocks Amphitheater became a popular spot for outdoor summer concerts as the genre was coming up.
The opening weekend will continue with Ravenscoon and Jantsen performing on March 28 at 6:00 p.m. Additional early-season performances include artists like ItsMurph on April 4 at 8:00 p.m., bringing a variety of electronic music acts to start off the season.
For many fans, Red Rocks concerts are about more than just the music. The atmosphere of the venue plays a massive role in the experience.
For Rylan Morris ‘27, her experience reflects a broader appreciation for the visuals and energy that come with live performances at the venue.
“One thing I love about Red Rocks concerts is not only the venue itself, but the lasers are always super cool,” Morris said. “I have been to four different concerts at Red Rocks, like ‘Zeds Dead’.”
Zeds Dead has had concerts at Red Rocks since 2014 and has come nearly every July. Their concert sizes annually average around 9,000 people.
Red Rocks, aside from many other venues, is different because of its view and the classic Colorado outdoor experience.
“I really like the scenery and the sunset was really pretty when I went, it was more open, versus when I went to a concert at Ogden Theater it was more packed,” Natalie Klobnak ‘26 said. “I didn’t get to see the nice views or sunsets like I did at Red Rocks,”
Beyond the opening shows, Red Rocks is expected to host a wide range of major artists throughout the summer, continuing its reputation as a must-visit venue for live music. Artists like Sublime, Zeds Dead, Two Friends, Kesha, Subtronics, Wiz Khalifa and more are on the radar for this concert season.
As the 2026 season begins, many fans are already looking ahead to the summer lineup and planning on which concerts to attend.
“This summer, I’m going to see Two Friends at Red Rocks with my friend group. I’m very excited because I get to see some great music,” Ansley Carson ‘28 said. “I’ve seen Megan Moroney, Benson Boone, Kidz Bop and Chris Tomlin at Red Rocks and I like that you can see the sunset before the concert starts, which makes it a very pretty concert venue and 10x more exciting.”
With its combination of live music, natural scenery and impressive production, Red Rocks continues to stand out as one of the most unique concert experiences in the country.

According to Keep America Beautiful, the majority of the trash found on both roads and waterways consists of fast food wrappers and packaging, receipts and plastic beverage bottles. Clubs like the National Honor Society (NHS) offer students the opportunity to earn service hours by cleaning up the trash in the parking lots. “[The trash] makes us look very unhygienic and unmotivated to be a proper school,” Emberlyse Vidal ‘28 said. “It makes us look like we just don't care about our students' environments.”](https://rockmediaonline.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/20260220_1355020-2-1200x904.jpg)
