Justice is Broken: By Helmsley Farmer
April 8, 2022
The oppressed are glorified
The persecutor is ensnared in wrath
Is defamation just?
Or is self-imposed oppression a blanket of security?
The weary are exalted
The powerful are feared
Is fear just?
Or is self-imposed agony a cure for self-loathing?
The broken are idolized
The prosperous are liars
Is the label of a “liar” just?
Or is self-imposed brokenness cultivating dependency?
I will no longer be a slave to oppression
I will no longer be a slave to weariness
I will no longer be a slave to brokenness
For if I am, I am a victim of defeat
I will fight injustice when justice is broken

According to Keep America Beautiful, the majority of the trash found on both roads and waterways consists of fast food wrappers and packaging, receipts and plastic beverage bottles. Clubs like the National Honor Society (NHS) offer students the opportunity to earn service hours by cleaning up the trash in the parking lots. “[The trash] makes us look very unhygienic and unmotivated to be a proper school,” Emberlyse Vidal ‘28 said. “It makes us look like we just don't care about our students' environments.”](https://rockmediaonline.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/20260220_1355020-2-1200x904.jpg)
