Varsity wrestling captain Sammy Mobly ‘23 lays on the mat after losing the final match at day three of the State Championship at Ball Arena Feb. 18. Mobly wrestled Daniel Long ‘23 of Adams City High School for the 5A 157 pound State Championship and lost 3-1 by takedown in sudden death during overtime, taking second place. “I was honestly just stunned. I knew that was the only chance I’d get at that title, and it was all taken away in just a couple seconds, so it was tough to get the energy to stand up and shake the other wrestler’s hand knowing he just beat me,” Mobly said.
The End of an Era is Just the Beginning

The show took place 7:00 p.m. Nov. 16, 17, and 18. Tickets were $10 for adults and $5 for students. Williamss character, Bessie, lost her hair due to chemotherapy treatment for leukemia. “It is weird to see myself without hair, but it was fine. Being bald is a result of chemotherapy and that’s just what Bessie had to go through,” Williams said.

Hi! My name is Auni and this is my first year officially on the Newspaper staff. Last year, I was in the journalism class and became a part of staff by helping out with Newspaper. I immediately fell in love with it and I decided to join the staff full time. Currently, dance five times a week at Boutique Dance Academy after school. This year, I hope to further my ability in being able to pick things up more quickly so that it can help with the rest of my classes this year.
