Study Smarter, Not Harder

The Eco Club competed against two other schools in the district, Castle View High School and ThunderRidge High School. Actions completed by the club were rewarded with a certain number of points, the winner being the school with the greatest total.

Finding Hope and Healing

On Oct. 30, 24 Eco Club members took a tour of the school’s solar panels on the roof. They were guided and taught by an employee from E Light Electric, the company that maintains the school’s solar panels, and learned about how the panels are maintained and cared for. “I was definitely very excited about being on the roof in general,” Eco Club member Olivia Fang ‘26 said. “[It was exciting to] learn more about solar panels and how they work and how they supply energy to our school.”

At the activities fair in the gym, Advait Iyer ‘26 waits to describe his “Entrepreneurship and Business Innovators” club to various students in attendance Aug. 27. The activities fair took place during access and allowed for student-made and chapter clubs to describe their goals and activities to potential new members. About 80 clubs participated in the activities fair. “I think it’s so important for high schoolers to join clubs because it gives them a community to rely on, and it gives high schoolers more structure,” Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) club member Anouck Doublet ‘25 said.

Varsity swimmer Maxxwell Menzies '24 dives into the water for the 50 yard-freestyle during the finals at A-Leaguges May 4. Menzies was a dual sport athelte this year competing in both the mens swim and dive program in the spring but also has partipated in the Sabercats combined hockey team over the winter.

The winterguard team poses with their banner after winning first place in their region at State at the University of Denver Magness Arena, April 6. Led by coaches Marguerite Sanford and Blair Bickerton, they had been working on their show since December. This was the first year the team had ever won state championships or won first place at all. “When I heard our name, it felt like all of our hard work had paid off,” Ava Delp ‘27 said.
