The Week in Photos: April 13-April 19

Photos from the shortened week.
In room 4101, Natalie Patterson ‘26, Ariana Magor ‘25 and Celina Salazar ‘25 create a poster in science teacher Kerry Reilly’s Chemistry Honors April 18. The three completed a worksheet and drawing to explain the implosion of a tank for their unit on gas laws. “At the start of class, we watched a video of the tank imploding,” Patterson said. “I think [making a drawing] is something new. I like more artsy activities.” (media by River)
Lily Ferdig ‘27 works on an assignment in Visual Arts teacher Prema Viswanathan’s Ceramics I class April 18. The class learned about coils in clay and how to form them properly with structural integrity. “I really enjoy Ceramics because it gives me time to have fun with clay and finish other work as well,” Ferdig said. McKenna Hogsett ‘26 listens to Taylor Swift’s “Love Story (Taylor’s Version)” in preparation for the release of her latest album April 18. At 10 p.m. Mountain Standard Time (MST), Swift’s 15th album, “The Tortured Poet’s Department,” will release on streaming platforms. Local radio station Alice 105.9 announced they would play the album at the time of release. The radio station is available to stream via iHeartRadio. To promote the album, when refreshing Swift’s Instagram page, the name of the album appears and a countdown is displayed. “I’m excited for all the new songs we’ll get tonight,” Hogsett said. Tuhin Sur ‘24 walks inside the main entrance in the rain holding an umbrella April 18. The temperature dropped from sunny 70 degree weather to cold and rainy in the middle of the week. According to The Weather Channel, on Saturday, April 19, there is a 51% chance of rain and on Sunday, April 21, there is a 7% chance of rain. “I was happy because the weather was finally getting nice, and then it just dropped. It looks pretty miserable outside now,” Sur said. Media by Rosie Benson
