Seniors Sign Off

Only 7% of high school athletes go on to compete at the college level, however an even smaller margin of 16 seniors plan to compete in their sport at the college level. 

Feb 4, those seniors signed their letter of intent to compete in college athletics at their colleges of choice. Both students and families filed into the cafeteria to congratulate the students on their athletic accomplishments. Principal Andy Abner, athletic Director Tom Brieske, and several coaches were also in attendance and spoke about the athletes’ accomplishments and colleges. 

Elliott Hermann and Tyler Smith will attend Garden City Community College (KS), and South Mountain Community College (AZ), respectively, as NJCAA Division I baseball players. Carson Brown will play in NCAA Division I at Utah Valley University (UT).

Girls Swim and Dive commits Regan Matheison, Britt Nichols, and Kennedy Philbrick signed to Division I colleges San Jose State University (CA), University of Wyoming (WY), and Seattle University (WA), respectively. Anna Case will compete as a Division II Athlete at Saint Cloud University (MN).

Libby Goodman will play Division I Volleyball at the University of North Alabama (AL), and Sophia Sobota will compete in Division III at Denison University (OH)

Derek Fearon will run Cross Country at Pomona College (CA) in NCAA Division III, and Riley Masten will participate in Track and Field at the University of Nebraska (NE) in NCAA Division I

Payton Lynch is committed to join the Gymnastics team at George Washington University (DC) in NCAA Division I.

Zane Sokolowski is committed to play NCAA Division II Soccer at the Colorado School of Mines (CO)

Boys Lacrosse committed Jacob Rimkus and Sage Marsik. Rinkus will play at Aurora University (IL) in NCAA Division III. Marsik signed to Maryville University (MO) in NCAA Division II.

Montana State Northern (MT) recruited Saywer Zook to play football in NAIA Division I.
