Students sit together during lunch to talk to each other Jan. 19. After two weeks of winter break, they began to all eat together in a group again. “[Being back has] been great, I missed seeing my friends at school and the energy from them is great,” Keilani Longwell ‘25 said.

The Gift of Giving
AP Psychology teacher Kathryn Lemeshewsky decorates her classroom door for a door decorating contest in the 5000s pod Dec. 8. Lemeshewsky organized the contest as an opportunity for teachers to take part in something fun and creative before break. Teachers had to do 51% of the work themselves, with their doors theme connecting to the holidays or the subjects they teach. Quite honestly, the social studies pod has gotten a little lame, and Im done with that. Im ready to boost the spirit in the 5000s pod and Im trying to do things to get us all to contribute more, because I like the people in our department, Lemeshewsky said.

Lifting his opponent, varsity wrestler Matthew Shipley ‘24 finishes a takedown on the opposing wrestler Jan. 11. The dual ended with a score of 43-30 L. “The coaches at Rock Canyon are the best in every way,” Shipley said. “The technique that’s taught is taught very well. The coaches really care about individuals and improving the team, not just winning.”

The show took place 7:00 p.m. Nov. 16, 17, and 18. Tickets were $10 for adults and $5 for students. Williamss character, Bessie, lost her hair due to chemotherapy treatment for leukemia. “It is weird to see myself without hair, but it was fine. Being bald is a result of chemotherapy and that’s just what Bessie had to go through,” Williams said.
