Marching Band freezes in place in their final pose, finishing their music and ending their show Sept. 24. They had to wait until 4 p.m. to get their results. They placed 16th in the event. The show music this year is incredible, and putting movement to it is amazing, Drum major and All Bands President Zoë Danilchick ‘23 said.

Jazzy Lorenz 23 prepares her camera to film a new episode for the Cmon Now podcast Oct 18. Lorenz was getting her set up ready for an episode named Used Squared on the topic of unloyal friends. Setting up normally takes us about 15 minutes, but occasionally something will happen and well either have to wait for the camera to charge or well have to spend forever adjusting the lighting on the camera, Lorenz said.
C’mon Now, Just Tune In
Security Guard JT Adams stands by the stairs by the security desk. Adams started working in schools because he enjoyed helping students. “I just like being in a good environment,” Adams said. “I’ve always wanted to work with kids and help kids so that’s why I’m here.”

Izzy Bartos ‘23 closes up Starbucks as she heads home after a 5-hour shift Nov. 12. It was a cold and busy night as baristas were overwhelmed with new holiday orders, cranky customers, and technical difficulties behind the counter. “My shift was extremely tiring, seeing as its the beginning of our holiday season and customers are going crazy over holiday drinks. We ran out of three types of milks today so it was definitely a disaster,” Bartos said.
Working a Double Life
Sophia Face 25 lays her head on her computer during sixth period to take a brain break before starting the next assignment Nov. 10. Face takes breaks in between assignments to avoid getting tired and falling asleep in class. [I] never [fall asleep in class] but [I do get burnout] quite often, especially on Mondays, because Monday is the start of a long week. Face said.
Burning Through Burnout
French teacher Alexis Savas stands in front of the 8000s pod staircase. Savas teaches both French and Spanish, and has traveled to 47 countries. I really liked the architecture of Spain. And I liked the culture and ambiance of France, Savas said.

Stella Catalano ‘24 and Oliver Conard ‘24, the mother and father of Jesse (played by Katelyn Falcon ‘24) in “Distracted,” talk to each other about if their child could have Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in their final dress rehearsal Nov. 2. Catalano’s character believes that Jesse could have one of these disorders while Conard’s character believes that their son is just being a kid which causes them to argue about the different ways in which they should approach the issue with their child. “Theater has given me a place where I can be myself and express my emotions in creative ways,” Conard said.
