![Black & Gold Yearbook Editor-in-Chief Chloe Farson ‘25 works on a winter trends and events page for the yearbook during period four in room 4113 March 25. The deadline for the final version of the yearbook is this Friday, March 29. “Although I’m quite nervous and stressed about [the deadline], I’m looking forward to seeing the finished product more than anything,” Farson said. “I’ve found our book to be extremely unique from ones in past years, and it’s been so beautiful to work on. A team of eighteen students unload their tarp, made to look like grass, and watch as the crowd waits patiently for them to begin. They all prepare for the music to begin, and for them to preform. They all began in December, all at different skill levels, all ready to be the best they can be.
The winter guard team got second place in their division for the second time on Feb. 25 at Columbine High School, after they got it at Ralston Valley High School.

![Student Press Freedom Day takes place today, Feb. 22. The day celebrates the student journalists, whose rights are the same as professionals. This means that students can write about controversial topics and the administration cannot legally get involved in Colorado public schools. “[I think students should have equal rights] in principle, I think obviously, being that we’re a school, theres probably some things. I can see certain parent groups having a problem and that doesnt necessarily mean that you shouldnt write about them, but maybe [have] some kind of stakeholder.
