Get A New Piercing During Quarantine

Take this personality quiz to determine which piercing you should get during quarantine

by Lola Boushelle and Kendall Foxworth

Remote learning and being locked inside is the new reality, getting a new piercing now leaves time for the piercing to heal while no one can participate in normal activities. Playing sports doesn’t allow time for any piercings and some jobs have strict guidelines as well. With time off from restricting hobbies anyone can try out a new style.

Congratulations you finished the quiz! Count up all your letter answers and whichever you have the most of is which piercing we recommend based on your personality.

Mostly A: an earlobe piercing would be perfect for you! If you already have one or two try adding another. Getting a piercing on the lobe is very low on the pain scale which is why it is so common to get as one of your first piercings. plus, it takes only around 6-8 weeks to heal if you keep up with the healing process. Normally lobe piercings cost around $40 to $60, but at Claire’s ear piercings are free if you purchase a starter kit, including earrings and after care solution priced at $30. Claires would be a great place to get a lobe piercing. Click here to learn more about Clair’s ear piercings

Mostly B: Try out a cartilage piercing. If you’re interested in getting a cartilage piercing you should know the pain level depends on your personal pain tolerance, but as long as you take care of your ear afterwards you’ll be fine. You can get a cartilage piercing at Claire’s with the starter kit for $30, but anywhere else it will most likely be priced at $40 to $50. Most commonly people get them towards the top of the ear. If you have one or two maybe try an inner ear piercing or go for three cartilage piercings.  Click here to learn more about how to get a cartilage piercing

Mostly C: A nose piercing would go great with your personality. Getting a nose piercing can cost anywhere between $30 to $80 depending on the shop you choose to go to and the jewelry you pick. If you want to jump on the trend of getting a nose piercing you should know that it takes around 2 to 3 months to heal and requires a lot more attention than most other pricings during the healing process. You can get one on the side of your nose or a septum piercing in the middle of your nostrils. Click here to learn more about where to go for a nice piercing

Mostly D: Belly button piercings would work for your personality. If you’re serious about a belly button piercing know that it will cost around &35 to $60 and takes longer than most piercings to heal. It can take up to a year or possibly longer for your piercing to be completely healed if you keep up with cleaning it. Maybe start out with a small belly button piercing then you can go for the dangling earrings. Click here to find out where to go to get a belly button piercing

“I wouldn’t really want to get a piercing right after the quarantine because not every piercing shop sterilizes their products like they should so I would wait,” Maddy Evans ‘22 said.
