School Board Politics: Protesters Gather Together at DCSD Headquarters
Douglas County School District community members assembled Feb. 3 in protest of recent actions the Board of Education has taken.

On a day of below-freezing temperatures, a clear blue sky and school canceled due to a district-wide teacher sick out, an estimated 1,000+ community members congregated around the Douglas County School District’s headquarters in Castle Rock Feb. 3 after multiple divisive moves made by the Douglas County School District’s Board of Education.

According to Keep America Beautiful, the majority of the trash found on both roads and waterways consists of fast food wrappers and packaging, receipts and plastic beverage bottles.
